Returning Student Bursaries

Students who are currently attending Lakehead University and who will be returning for the 2017-2018 school year may be eligible for the:
 
Returning Student Bursary. 
 
The application will open March 1, 2017. Deadline to apply will be June 30, 2017.  
 
To be eligible, students must:
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be returning for full-time studies
  • Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
 
Watch for the Fall/Winter Bursary application that will be available August 15, 2017.
 
 
Additional Information: To apply, login to myInfo and you will find the application under "Financial Aid." Once completed, a message confirming the receipt of your application should be forwarded to your Lakehead University email account.
 
Note: Students who have applied for OSAP and/or other provincial student aid programs will be given higher consideration for this bursary.
 
Notice to Second Degree Undergraduate Students 
Students enrolled in the One Year Bachelor of Education (Professional Year), the One Year Honours Bachelor of Social Work and Faculty of Law students may encounter higher costs than anticipated due to program costs and/or additional travel placements.
 
As part of Ontario's Student Access Guarantee commitment, students in these programs are eligible to apply for the financial resources they need to succeed in their professional year.  Read on......

If you are receiving OSAP this year and interested in applying for the Student Line of Credit, please drop by the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office to obtain your "Referral Form" which will assist with the application process.
