First Year at a Glance

As a first year History major, you are required to complete History 1100 – The Making of the Modern World – either on-campus or online. This introductory course explores how historians attempt to explain developments in the modern world during the last seven centuries. Each class has no more than 80 students. You will develop research and writing skills for History and learn how to analyze and integrate primary and secondary sources into your work. 

The balance of your courses will be from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
