RBC Work Integrated Learning Program
In Years 2 - 4 of the program, you can apply for the RBC Work Integrated Learning Program to gain practical hands-on work experience to further develop your skills and help you enter the workforce. The program consists of 20 part-time work placements with a local organization. Selected students will have 144 hours of work placement, along with 20 hours of mentorship and participation in a workshop series.
The workshop series is designed to help you with: Effective Communication, Self Management, Conflict Resolution/Negotiation, Financial Literacy, Critical/Creative Thinking, Mindfulness and Critical Reflection.
Eligible students receive a $3,000 award to participate in the program.
Co-Operative Education Program
We offer the Co-Operative Education Program for Honours Bachelor of Commerce students in the following areas:
- Human Resources/Industrial Relations
- Information Systems
This program helps you find paid, interim employment at the end of your third year of studies in your field of choice. (Please note - the Co-op program requires an additional year in the HBComm program, but will provide you with unmatched practical and professional experience in the industry.)

Students will also have opportunities to participate in case competitions at regional, national and international levels. This is a great way to supplement your education with hands-on, resume-building experience.
