It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences website. The website is a great place to learn about our Faculty and Staff, our undergraduate and graduate programs, our students, and our nationally- and internationally-recognized achievements.
Established in 2008, the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences (formerly known as the Faculty of Professional Schools) brought together the Schools of Kinesiology, Nursing, and Social Work, the Department of Psychology and programs in Public Health and Gerontology. We are a dynamic group, poised to provide innovative research and educational programming to meet the ever changing demands of the Canadian health care sector, with special emphasis and sensitivity to rural, remote, Aboriginal and northern health issues.
Human health and well-being is of interest to everyone, from private citizens to officials at the highest levels of government. Whether you are a potential student, a current student, an alumna or alumnus, or a member of the community, I know that the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences has something to offer to you. I encourage you to browse the Faculty website and to join us as we celebrate our past and as we continue to shape the future!
