Course description: An introductory examination of the questions, tensions and debates within contemporary feminist theory from the late 20th Century to the present. This course considers multiple feminisms' arguments, strategies and politics to understand how contemporary theoretical positions account for material inequalities and lived experiences of marginalization, and how they work towards social justice in gender.

The Department of Gender & Women’s Studies requires 1 undergraduate student for a fixed term part-time contract during April and May 2023 to develop, create, and launch our social media presence. The successful candidate will work a total of 62 hours.
Maximum of 62 hours for the contract
Rate of Pay: $25.00 per hour, including vacation pay as per
CUPE collective agreement.
Qualifications: Upper-level student in third or fourth year. Completion of WOME-1100 or a second year Gender and Women’s Studies core course. The successful candidate will have experience developing and launching social media platforms. Candidates with demonstrated knowledge of social media best-practice for promoting posts and drawing followers will be given preference.
