Dr. B. Parker receives SSHRC Funding.

Dr. Barbara Parker, assistant professor in Sociology, is receiving $69,000 to explore the food insecurity experiences of two marginalized but growing populations within post-secondary institutions: Indigenous and international students.

Congratulations to HBA student Mario Koeppel, who has won the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities Undergraduate Student Conference oral presentation for Research & Innovation Week 2019. 
 
The title of his talk was "School Food Philosophies: Revisioning the School Food Environment", based on his undergraduate research project with Dr. Barbara Parker.

Dr. R. Collins-Nelsen (co-authored by Dr. A. Puddephatt) just published an article, based on her MA research from her time at Lakehead, in one of the top Sociology journals in Canada.
