Dr. Philip Fralick to collaborate with NASA Astrobiology Institute

Dr. Fralick from the Department of Geology at Lakehead University will soon be collaborating with NASA's Astrobiology Institute (NAI).  NASA recently announced that five new teams will be joining the NAI including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Wisconsin, Madison and the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  These new teams have received five-year grants worth nearly $40 million.  Dr. Fralick will be working with the University of Wisconsin team, led by Clark Johnson, which will be studying how to detect life in modern and ancient environments on Earth and other planetary bodies.
