Programs that meet your Needs
We offer programs for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students that provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to be an effective educator. All of our programs focus on Indigenous cultures, traditions, and practices to ensure that you and your future students can share knowledge in a way that is effective and meaningful. Many of our programs use experiential learning methods, which give you an opportunity to learn outside of a conventional classroom.
Working Towards your Goal
All of our undergraduate degree programs can lead to certification by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), meaning you will be able to teach in both band-operated (federal) and provincial schools.
As well as being registered with the OCT, you will also earn an undergraduate degree in a teachable area and a Bachelor of Education degree. These qualifications are necessary to be a teacher, but can also lead to other career and educational opportunities.
