Dr. Christina Semeniuk (semeniuklab.com) and Dr. Rennie are recruiting an MSc. student to conduct studies on polar bear foraging ecology, starting in either May or September 2017. The ideal student would have an interest in behavioural ecology and climate change, and would have some experience with animal behavioural observations and analyses. There is some flexibility in the project depending on the student's interests; for example there are opportunities to work on agent-based modelling, as well as both theoretical and applied questions.
The student would be based in the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research at the University of Windsor, and would be funded primarily though a Mitacs grant. As such, a Canadian domestic student would be preferred to ensure that the grant adequately covers the student's salary.
