Embrace the freshly fallen snow and get outside to learn something new! Participants will join Ontario Master Naturalist Program coordinator Bob Bowles at the Robert L. Bowles Nature Centre to learn key specifics for tracking, including the different gaits mammal species use during winter, and how to measure stride, straddle, and other key components to identify various species. Bundle up for an interactive hike on the trails, and then bring your lunch and spend some time by the fire with the group to discuss the day’s discoveries.
Participants will receive a field brochure and hot chocolate will be provided, and snowshoes will be available for those who do no have their own. This program is limited to 12 people, so social distancing is possible, and vaccination is required.
