Spring is sedge season in Simcoe County, home to over 120 carex species!  Sometimes confused with rushes or grasses and often lumped together, this workshop will focus on carex species in the sedges family, outlining their specific habitats and helping you differentiate species most common in spring.

Participants will meet for a Zoom webinar on Monday, May 31 at 7pm before heading out over the week to find, sketch, and photograph sedges for our discussion on Sunday, June 6 at 7pm. This workshop can be paired with a Summer Sedges workshop to be held later this year.

PowerPoint presentations, video, Flipgrid, and other materials will be provided prior to the synchronous webinar. The workshop will be delivered to you using Zoom technology. You will need a computer, tablet or smartphone with speakers, reliable access to the internet and an email address. Technical support will be provided.

Price for this workshop is $79 (plus HST).
