As the winter snow and ice melt away, the beautiful lichens appear on trees, rocks, and the ground in their full glory, looking moist and fresh. Spring is the best time to study this interesting phenomena, and this workshop will give you a new understanding of the symbiotic relationships between fungi and algae, and with fauna as well.

Participants will meet for a Zoom webinar on Monday, April 19 at 7 pm before headingĀ out over the week to find, sketch, and photograph excellent examples of lichens for our discussion on Sunday, April 25 at 7 pm.

PowerPoint presentations, video, Flipgrid, and other materials will be provided prior to the synchronous webinar. The workshop will be delivered to you using Zoom technology. You will need a computer, tablet or smartphone with speakers, reliable access to the internet and an email address. Technical support will be provided.

Price for this workshop is $79 (plus HST).
