This workshop, the fourth in our series on winter dendrology, will cover the many species of deciduous shrubs that call wetlands home. Drawings and photos of winter bud shape, colour and arrangement, leaf scars and bark details will enable us to identify species of wetland shrubs without their leaves in winter. Once you identify these species in winter, it will be much easier to recognize them next spring and summer when the leaves and fruits are present.

Note: You do not need to have participated in earlier workshops to access this program offering.

Participants in this two-part workshop gain access to interactive PowerPoint presentations, video, Flipgrid, and other materials prior to the synchronous webinar on Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 pm. This will be followed by a session to share findings and ask questions on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 7 pm.

The workshop will be delivered to you using Zoom technology. You will need a computer, tablet or smartphone with speakers, reliable access to the internet and an email address. Technical support will be provided.

Price for this workshop is $79 (plus HST).
