The Department of Indigenous Learning, Social Justice Program and RiVAL (Re-Imagining Value Action Lab) at Lakehead University invite you to join panel presenters for a discussion about systemic racism and police violence in Thunder Bay and community responses that are helping to re-imagine public safety.

This event is being organized in solidarity with Scholar Strike Canada taking place Sept 9-10, 2020. On these dates Scholar Strike Canada (https://scholarstrikecanada.ca/about/) is hosting public digital teach-ins on "state-sanctioned violence as part of the systemic violence that materially disenfranchises Black, Indigenous and racialized people, and is a contemporary function of slavery, carcerality and colonialism in the world today."
