Aboriginal Cultural and Support Services have brought in traditional crafter Ella Gagnon from Aroland First Nation to help students and staff bead a small square for a larger cultural quilt! Description: Il s’agit dans cette présentation de saisir la motivation du cheminement scriptural intime de quatre écrivaines (Mazarine Pingeot, Marie Nimier, Anne Goscinny, Félicité Herzog) qui décident à un moment de leur existence de retracer à la manière des récits de filiation l’existence de leur père célèbre. Cette entreprise peu ordinaire à cause de la notoriété paternelle, les oblige à prendre connaissance de l’image tant privée que publique de cet individu, renseignements disparates qu’elles confrontent à leurs souvenirs d’enfance peu précis. L’écriture hybride qui en résulte contribue à rétablir une relation filiale, à offrir également à autrui une image complète de leur père et d’elle-même pour se resituer dans un espace public resté trop longtemps inaccessible. The Campus Market runs every Wednesday, from 10 am - 4 pm in the Study lounge. Food, crafts, refurbished bicycles, clothing and other merchandise will be offered by local businesses and entrepreneurs from the Thunder Bay area.

There will also be a clothing and book swap the first Wednesday of every month so bring clothes you don't wear and trade them with someone else (the cleaner the better!). Items from the True North Community Cooperative, Tbay Imports, Community Spokes Bike Shop, Steepers Tea, herb plants from the LUSU Food Bank and unique crafts from artists will be sold.

Mr. McGann has specialized training and extensive experience working with teens with depression, anxiety, ADHD and family conflicts. The Run Group specifically addresses anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.

This workshop will provide teacher candidates with practical strategies, games and activities that develop oral proficiency in the Core French classroom.

All of the strategies are theoretically sound and dramatically improve student second language development in all language domains. Language strategies involving literature, music, dance, games and activities will be discussed and practiced.

Teacher candidates who plan to teach junior/intermediate Core French would most benefit from this workshop. This workshop is for university students contemplating a career in teaching French. It will include: Overview of practical strategies, Videos of students and teachers during lessons, Samples of student work and assessment
