1. Use of the Site
The Lakehead University Website or related website (the "Lakehead University Website") is a no-fee service offered by Lakehead University ("Lakehead"). The contents (any and all source code, scripts, graphics, multimedia, and anything else located on any Lakehead server or any other technical device being the property of Lakehead and accessible through Lakehead Infrastructure) of the Lakehead University Website are provided for informational and educational purposes only. All information is provided on an "as is" basis without any warranties of any kind. Lakehead makes no representations and disclaims all expressed and implied warranties and conditions of any kind, including without limitation, representations, warranties or conditions regarding accuracy, timeliness, completeness, non-infringement, merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose regarding any and all contents of the Lakehead University Website. Lakehead assumes no responsibility to you or any third party for the consequences of any errors or omissions. You, expressly acknowledge that information contained on the Lakehead University Website may be provided by independent clubs, associations and organizations and any such information and its content are not the responsibility of Lakehead. Lakehead assumes no liability for such content or information.
2. Release of Lakehead
You also agree to release and hold harmless Lakehead from and against any and all liability, claims, damages, actions, and costs, arising out of or in connection with your use, review or reproduction of the Lakehead University Website.
3. Limitation of Liability
Lakehead shall not be liable to you and/or any third party for any damages of any kind arising out of or relating to the use of, or reliance upon, the Lakehead University Website including, but not limited to, any lost profits, lost opportunities, special, incidental, indirect, consequential or punitive damages, regardless of your advice to Lakehead to the contrary.

Neither Lakehead nor any of its officers, directors, employees, or agents makes any representation and/or warranty regarding any educational or other matter described within the Lakehead University Website. For example, while Lakehead endeavours to ensure that information on the Lakehead University Website is accurate, it does not guarantee that is the case.
5. Reproduction of Contents
Website content created by the units and affiliates of Lakehead and made available through the Lakehead University website is the property of Lakehead or used by Lakehead under license. Unless otherwise specified, permission to include web address (URL) references to content for non-commercial purposes is granted provided that each such reference acknowledges that the content resides at and is the property of Lakehead.
The contents, but not any logo or other visual representation, of the Lakehead University Website or related website may be used and reproduced solely for non-commercial, personal or educational purposes provided that it is not modified and that you do not delete any copyrights and other legal or proprietary notices contained therein, and further provided that the source of such information is clearly acknowledged in any reproduction thereof. Such information may not otherwise be used, reproduced, broadcast, published or re-disseminated without the prior written permission of Lakehead.

The Lakehead University Website may link users to sites not maintained by Lakehead. The materials located on the Lakehead University Website are protected by copyright, trademark, and other forms or proprietary rights and are owned or controlled by Lakehead University or any other party credited as the provider of the information.

8. System Integrity
You may not use any device, software, or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Lakehead University Website. You may not take any action which imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on Lakehead infrastructure, such as computer systems or internet bandwidth. Failure to comply may result in removed access to Lakehead infrastructure, the Lakehead University Website, and/or legal pursuit.
9. Governing Law
This agreement shall be construed and enforced in accordance the laws of the Province of Ontario and the domestic laws of Canada applicable therein.
10. Entire Agreement
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Lakehead and supersedes all other agreements. No other representations or warranties are made, save for those contained within this Agreement.
11. Privacy
All access to Lakehead University Website is logged. The logged information is collected under the authority of the Act Respecting Lakehead University, and any questions on this collection should be directed to: Webmaster, Lakehead University, 955 Oliver Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario P7B 5E1; telephone: (807) 343-8499. Lakehead does not use this information to monitor, track, or report on any individual's use of Lakehead University Website unless acts failing to comply with governing law and terms of use have taken place. Lakehead reserves the right to use such information to provide support to users, error tracking, and troubleshooting, AND to:
(a) investigate and/or
(b) prosecute
- alleged or actual
(a) misuse of Lakehead University Website and/or
(b) failure to comply with these Terms of Use and/or
(c) failure to comply with governing law
- to provide support to users, error tracking, and troubleshooting.
Cookies and other techniques to monitor and track web site users’ navigation and use of the website may occur with the intention of site improvements or measuring success rates.
12. Termination of Lakehead University Website or Related Website
Lakehead reserves the right to terminate or modify, in any manner, the Lakehead University Website, and/or any part of any related website any link or linking program at any time for any reason.
