Public Facing Website

As part of the Ontario government’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), beginning January 1, 2021, all public websites and web content posted after January 1, 2012 must meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA.

The legislation is well documented and there are fines associated with non-compliance. More details can be found here: www.ontario.ca/page/how-make-websites-accessible

In an effort to ensure compliance and make Lakehead's web properties accessible for all users, an AODA Compliance Working Group has been formed. At this time, we are reaching out to the University community to take inventory of all public websites.

If you administer or have developed a public website related to, or branded as, Lakehead University, we ask that you fill out the following form by Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

This includes websites developed for departmental initiatives, associations, clubs, organizations, or any other activity associated with Lakehead University, whether developed internally or by third-parties.

Please note that you do not need to submit any website that is within lakeheadu.ca
