Liz Murray

Liz is an accomplished life sciences researcher and safety co-ordinator at Earthmaster Environmental Strategies Inc., a consulting firm in Calgary, Alberta that offers multi-disciplinary environmental services and is a world leader in plant-based soil remediation solutions. Liz was always interested in medical science and obtained a Bachelor of Science and an Honours Bachelor of Science in biology from Lakehead. She continued her studies at Queen's, graduating in 1994 with a PhD in Pathology (Human Genetics). She then became a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Calgary and worked with the Cancer Biology Research Group before moving into the private sector.

Along with her professional duties, Liz is active in her community. She has served in a variety of roles with the St. Andrews Heights Community Association and has represented community interests in projects across the City of Calgary. Since 2013, she's assisted Lakehead's Calgary Alumni Chapter with event planning. She's also a sports fan who enjoys biking and hiking.
